ABOUT

I completed a BA Hons in Fine Art, Drawing, and Painting at the renowned Glasgow School of Art. Upon leaving, I spent a few years traveling the world before settling in London. I went on to spend 14 years working as an Art Director and Production Designer for Children's television starting off with 6 years at Nickelodeon. During that time I completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Technical Drawing and Design for Television at Chelsea College of Art.

I then moved on to Children’s BBC, working on shows such as Blue Peter and Dick and Dom in da Bungalow, for which we won a BAFTA.

Since moving to the outskirts of Barcelona, Spain with my young family in 2012, I have refocused on my painting. I have taught extracurricular art to both adults and children, which has been really rewarding.

These days, my work is centered around my daily reality, taking inspiration from the Catalan countryside, pools, and beaches, that are part of the day-to-day life here in Spain.

I also like to pay homage to my native Scotland in my work. The wet and windy weather and the rugged landscapes are in stark contrast to where I live now but form part of who I am… therefore how I paint.
